    For Parents & Caregivers

    Is this therapy?
No. This is parenting education - practical, evidence-informed, and designed to be accessible outside a therapy context. It is not a substitute for individualized therapy services.
What kinds of behavior challenges does this address?
The strategies I teach work best with the most common challenges in children ages 2 to 7: tantrums, defiance, difficulty following directions, and emotional outbursts. They're not designed for severe behavioral or mental health diagnoses, but they're a strong starting point for families who feel like everyday interactions have become a struggle.
Is Building Blocks appropriate for neurodivergent children?
Yes. The skills taught (building connection, giving clear directions, and responding consistently) are relevant and adaptable for neurodivergent kids. The approach is flexible by design, not one-size-fits-all.
How does the self-paced course work?
The Behavior Blueprint is a self-paced video course designed for busy parents. It includes 4 core video sessions, bonus materials, bilingual handouts, lifetime access, a 24/7 AI assistant trained on the course materials, and a monthly live Q&A with Abril. You get immediate access to all materials for $47.
What age group is this course for?
The strategies in The Behavior Blueprint are specifically designed for parents of children ages 2 to 7. This is the critical developmental window where these evidence-based techniques are most effective.
I'm incredibly busy. How much time will this take?
The course is broken down into 4 core sessions. Each video is concise and actionable. You can expect to spend about 30-45 minutes per week watching the content, plus time practicing the strategies in your daily life.
How long do I have access to the materials?
You have lifetime access to the course content! You can revisit the videos, handouts, and resources whenever you need a refresher as your child grows.
Will this work if my child has ADHD or autism?
Yes! The foundational strategies taught in this course are highly effective and widely recommended for children with ADHD, autism, and oppositional defiant disorder (ODD). We focus on core relational and behavioral principles that adapt to neurodivergent needs.

    For Pediatric Providers & Clinics

Can Building Blocks be delivered virtually or in person?
Both. Staff training and family sessions can be delivered in person or virtually, depending on what works best for your organization and the families you serve.
How long does it take to deliver Building Blocks?
There are four sessions, each as short as 15 minutes using the adapted format. For practices with more flexibility, a full 30-minute format is also available. Both formats cover the same core skills and include teaching, guided practice, and take-home materials.
How much does Building Blocks cost?
Pricing starts at $3,750 for your first location, which includes training for 2 staff, the full provider toolkit, workflow setup, billing guidance, implementation support, bilingual materials, and outcome tracking. Add locations for $2,500 each within 12 months, and renew annually at $900 per location. No long-term contracts. See the pricing section for the full breakdown.
Can this be billed or reimbursed?
Because Building Blocks is an evidence-based parent training and education approach, many clinics are able to offset costs by billing the sessions under established health and behavior assessment/intervention codes or family psychotherapy codes, depending on your organization's structure and the provider delivering it.
What does the implementation process look like for clinics?
Implementation is practically zero-friction. After a single staff training session, your providers walk away with everything they need—exact scripts, manuals, and bilingual parent handouts—to start using the tools immediately. There is no new software to learn and no complex onboarding. It's completely plug-and-play and specifically designed to fit seamlessly into the 15-minute appointments they are already doing.
Is Building Blocks the same as PCIT?
No. Building Blocks is not PCIT and is not a substitute for it. PCIT is a manualized therapy with its own certification, live coaching, and mastery requirements. Building Blocks is a separate parent education approach grounded in attachment theory, social learning theory, and behavioral parent training — the same research tradition PCIT draws on. I am a PCIT-certified therapist, and that training informs how I teach, but delivering Building Blocks does not make a provider PCIT-trained, and it does not qualify a clinic to offer PCIT.
Are the parent materials available in Spanish?
Yes! All parent-facing materials, including the take-home handouts and worksheets, are fully bilingual (English and Spanish) to ensure you can seamlessly support a wider range of families in your practice.
